Welcome

This is the online ordering page of Adorable French Bakery. You can reserve products for a Farmers Market, order pickup or delivery from our Production Center in Santa Cruz, order wholesale (approved accounts) and send us a catering request. Everything is paid securely online with Square.

Tip: type in the Search box at the top of this manual to find any topic.

Choose your order type

Use the Order type buttons at the top of the ordering page. The products shown change with the order type.

• Farmers Market Pickup - reserve products for a market. Reservations close at 6:00pm the day before the market; after that it is first come, first served. You choose the market and week at checkout and pick up at the market (9:00am - 12:30pm).
• Production Center Pickup / Delivery - order for pickup or delivery from 254 Potrero Street, Santa Cruz. Choose As soon as possible or schedule a date and time within the next 30 days.
• Wholesale - for approved wholesale accounts. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sign in to see your wholesale prices.
• Catering - build a catering event, add products and send it to us as a request. We reply with a quote.

Browsing the menu

The controls at the top of the page stay in place while you scroll, so you can always search or switch views.

• Search - type any word (name, ingredient, allergen). Clear empties the box.
• View - Product pages shows every product as a full page (photo, ingredients, allergens, price). Product List shows one line per product.
• Display - All shows every product; Basket shows only the products in your cart. Load previous order puts your last order back in the cart (sign in first).
• Sort by - group the list by Section or by Category. Tap a section or category heading to collapse or expand it, or use Expand all / Collapse all.
• Include sections / categories / Meal service / Dietary - narrow the list (for example Vegan Only or Gluten Free Only). Include All and Clear All select or deselect a whole row.

Product List and product pages

• In the Product List, tap the product name to open a grey details window (ingredients, allergens, last time you ordered it). Tap anywhere outside the window to close it.
• Tap the + before a name to expand that product only into its full product page.
• On any product page, tap Product list (next to Next) to turn that page back into a single line.
• Switching the View button resets all products to the chosen view.
• Use the cart icon (or the - / + steppers) on a product to add it to your cart. Products with flavors or sizes open a Choose options window first.

Plan ahead for the full menu

For Production Center pickup or delivery the page first shows the menu available for the next 72 hours (our everyday weekday, late-night and weekend offering).

Choose Schedule 72+ hours ahead in the Order for row and pick a date at least 3 days out to unlock our full menu - every product that is not sold out, seasonal or discontinued. For catering, the date of your event works the same way: events 72 or more hours away can use the full menu; sooner events use the limited menu.

If your cart contains products that are not offered for the date you choose, they are removed and the page tells you which ones.

Cart and checkout

1. Add products to your cart. The Cart button (top right) shows how many items you have.
2. Open the cart, check quantities and press Checkout.
3. Enter your name, email and phone. For Farmers Market choose the market and week. For Production Center choose pickup or delivery, then the date and time (or As soon as possible).
4. For Delivery enter Address 1, Address 2, City, State and Zip, plus delivery instructions. Optional: No utensils and No contact delivery. The delivery fee is a flat $10 plus $1 per mile beyond 5 driving miles from the Production Center, and is free above the free-delivery amount shown at checkout.
5. Have a coupon code? Enter it at checkout; the discount comes off the items total.
6. Press Order (or Reserve) to continue to payment.

Signed-in customers can download a Quotation (PDF) from the cart: priced items, delivery fee, a payment link with QR code and a catalogue of the selected items (valid 14 days).

Paying

After checkout a Pay to confirm window appears with a Square Pay now button and a QR code you can scan with your phone. Your order is not confirmed until payment is received; the window updates by itself, or press I have paid - check now.

• Cancel - back to shopping (or closing the window) returns you to the ordering page with your previous cart still in place.
• Farmers Market reservations can be paid later with the link or the invoice (PDF); Production Center pickup and delivery orders must be paid at checkout.
• You can download an invoice (PDF) from the payment window or from My account.

My account

Press Sign in (top right) and enter your email. We email you a 6-digit code - no password needed. The page remembers the last email you used on this device.

• Order history with Reorder, invoices and payment status.
• My quotes - quotes the bakery prepared for your email can be put in the cart.
• Delivery address - save and change the address used at checkout.

Wholesale accounts

• Choose Wholesale, then Register for wholesale. Enter the business, billing address and contact, one or more delivery locations, and upload the resale permit, business license, Health Department permit and liability COI.
• We review the application and email you when it is approved, with your discount and payment terms.
• Once approved, sign in with your email. Prices show your wholesale discount. At checkout choose the delivery location. Prepay accounts pay online to confirm; accounts on terms get a confirmed order and an invoice with the due date, QR code and payment link.
• The account owner can add other users (their own emails) in My account. Every user sees the account's orders and quotes.

Catering

Choose Catering (or the Catering request button). In the Catering events window create an event (name, date, times, guests, venue, dietary notes), add products from the Catering section or anywhere in the catalogue (choose flavors and sizes), and send it as a request. Signed-in customers can save drafts, reopen and edit events until we start handling them, and copy an event as new. We reply with a quote; full-service dinners for up to 200 guests are available with tables, plates, glasses and silverware.

  • Online pickup and delivery now follow the bakery's hours, prep time and order pauses. Choose "As soon as possible" (the page shows the earliest time, e.g. an order at 5:00pm when we reopen at 6:00pm with 30 minutes prep is ready at 6:30pm) or pick a date and time from the times that are really available.
  • If the kitchen pauses orders, the page says so and the next available time moves to the end of the pause plus prep time.

  • Free delivery: online delivery and catering are free above an amount set by the bakery - the checkout shows how much more to add.

  • Wholesale accounts can have several users. The account owner adds or removes user emails in My account; every user signs in with their own email, sees the account's orders and quotes, and orders at the account's wholesale prices.

  • A product can now belong to several categories. It shows under each of them (and in the category filter), with one badge per category.
  • Wholesale registration: resale permit, business license and Health Department permit NUMBER fields are gone (the documents are still uploaded). New billing address and billing contact, and one or more delivery addresses with their own contact.
  • Wholesale accounts can add or edit billing details and delivery locations any time (My account or Checkout).
  • New Show: All products / Basket switch. Product pages show the quantity in your basket and the quantity and date you last ordered; in the Collapsed list the grey details window shows the last order.
  • Wholesale checkout: choose the delivery location for each order. Prepay accounts see Pay to confirm; accounts on terms get a confirmed order with an invoice showing the terms, due date, QR code and payment link.

  • Catering products can now also be offered for Farmers Market, Weekday, Late night and Wholesale (set in /admin, Product availability). They stay hidden there until switched on.
  • Products with flavors / sizes (catering boxes) open a Choose options window before going in the cart; the cart line shows the choices and the price includes them.

  • Every section and category can be collapsed or expanded on its own (tap its heading), in both Product pages and Collapsed list views. New Expand all / Collapse all buttons.
  • New Catering section with all our catering boxes, cakes, breads, entrees and pesto, grouped by type (Box: Croissants, Box: Pastries, Whole: Cakes...). Flavors and sizes can be chosen on each product.
  • Catering now starts with a Catering events window: create an event, add products to it, save it as a draft and send it as a request. Signed-in customers see all their catering events and can reopen, edit (until the bakery handles it) or copy one as a new event.

  • DoorDash delivery from the Production Center: when you choose Delivery, the checkout shows the DoorDash delivery price for your address and time. The price is added to your Square payment as its own line, and a DoorDash driver is booked automatically after payment (you get text updates with a tracking link).
  • The Square payment page now opens with your name, email and phone already filled in.

  • Prices, item names and availability for reservations are now checked by the bakery server when you place an order, so the total you pay always matches the current menu.
  • Wholesale orders are priced the same way (current price minus your approved discount).
  • If prices changed since the page was loaded, the payment screen shows the updated total.
